Your Dietitian Questions, Answered

What exactly is a Dietitian?

A Dietitian is a registered healthcare professional trained to use evidence-based nutrition to help people improve their health and manage medical conditions. We’re legally regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) which means we’re qualified, insured, and accountable for the advice we give.

Anyone can call themselves a “nutritionist,” but only a Dietitian has the clinical training and legal protection of title to work safely with health conditions and liaise with other healthcare professionals.  That said, there are also excellent evidence-based Registered Nutritionists and Nutritional Therapists out there, just make sure to check their credentials and experience before choosing your nutrition professional of choice!

Why should I choose The Community Dietitian?

Because I take the science of nutrition and make it make sense in real life. My work is rooted in clinical evidence, but my style is practical, supportive, and real. You’ll get the benefit of years of NHS and community experience, combined with a coaching approach that helps you turn advice into action, without any guilt, overwhelm or rules!

If you are managing a condition or just want to feel more confident around food, I’ll help you find the balance between what’s good for your body and what works in your day-to-day life.

What’s different about your approach?

I’m not a fan of strict diet plans! My approach is about understanding you, your habits, routines, mindset and relationship with food.
We’ll work collaboratively to make small, realistic changes that build long-term results. I use behavioural coaching techniques alongside clinical nutrition knowledge, so you don’t just know what to do, you actually know how to do it.

It’s nutrition that’s personalised, flexible, and designed to fit into your life not take it over.

Can you prescribe weight-loss injections?

No,  I can’t prescribe medication. But I can support you if you’re already using, or considering, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or similar treatments.
I’ll help you understand how they work, what to expect, and how to make sure your nutrition and habits support safe, sustainable results.
My focus is always on helping you use food and lifestyle changes to support your health long after the injections stop.

What can I expect from my discovery session?

Your discovery session is relaxed and focused on you. We’ll talk about your goals, health history, what’s working, and what’s not. You’ll leave with a clear idea of how I work and if I am the person you have been looking for to support you on your journey. There is no hard sell, no obligation to book with me. It is top priority to me that we are a good fit!

Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

Yes, most appointments are online via Google Meet, which is secure and fully GDPR-compliant. This makes sessions easy to access wherever you are.
I also offer in-person sessions locally where desired and if geographically possible, particularly for community or workplace projects. However..talk to me! Book a discovery call and let's work it out.

How do I book?

You can book directly for a FREE no obligation intro session using the following  link, there is no option to book Reset, Balance or Confidence programmes without that initial call, sorry.

It is important that we are a good fit before we delve in deep.

How do payments work?

Payments are handled securely through Stripe, giving you the option to pay in full using a debit or credit card or you can opt to pay in three interest-free instalments.

There are no hidden fees, and all transactions are encrypted and secure. I cover any small processing charges so it stays simple and transparent for you.

Is my information confidential?
